Stornäsets Nature Reserve offers great opportunities to see birds. Both in spring and autumn, lots of birds are can be seen here. The 149 hectare big reserve has a large contiguous deciduous forest area that is surrounded by meadows and pastures. The county's largest claimed seafront meadow and its connecting species-rich shallow seabeds attract thousands of birds, especially during migration. Several hides are built to allow you to watch birds without disturbing them.

Here, waders and ducks thrive, but many passerines and birds of prey also pass by Stornäset. Among the water birds that like to stay here are, for example Rață sulițar, Rață lingurar, Corcodel mare, and Lebădă de iarnă. Examples from the many waders are Scoicar, Ploier argintiu, Ploier auriu, Bătăuș, Pietruș, Fluierar cu picioare roșii, Fugaci de țărm, Fugaci pitic and Fluierar negru.
Pasărea omătului, Mugurar roșu, Gușă vânătă and Codobatură galbenă are examples of passerines that you can see and birds of prey such as Șorecar încălțat and Erete vânăt. Rare guests include Fugaci roșcat, Notatiță, Notatiță cu cioc lat and Becațină mare.
