Description
Löddesnäs is located at the coast of Lomma bay where the river Löddeån reaches the sea. It is a well known resting and roosting area for shorebirds, ducks ans has proven to be a magnet for a variety of rarities. The birdingtower gives a good view of the shores but it is also worth taking the path out in the reeds. Apart from the path to the birding tower and the foot bridge in the reeds the area is restricted between 15/4 to 15/7.
In late summer the site is good for a wide variety of waders and a reliable spot to see Pescăriță mare. In the autumn the marshes east of the tower are a good place for Becațină comună, Becațină mică and ocassionally Becațină mare. In the winter the mouth of the river is a good place for Buhai de baltă. Along the river Boicuș is breeding and in the fall they can be seen in the reeds arround the tower together with Pițigoi de stuf.
