Description
The Lillfjärden lake is primarily known for its geese. Gâscă călugăriță, Gâscă de vară, and Gâscă canadiană all breed. The lake also holds the entire swedish non-breeding population of Gârliță mică. Other geese like Gârliță mare, Gâscă de semănătură, Gâscă cu cioc scurt can often be found. Some years Tundra Bean Goose and Gâscă neagră are also found during migration periods.
The lakes rocky coast is also often home to waders like Fluierar negru, Fluierar cu picioare roșii, Prundăraș gulerat mic (breeds), Scoicar (breeds), and Bătăuș. The lake holds large amounts of Rață mare and smaller amounts of other dabbling ducks. Even species which are rare in northern areas like Rață pestriță, Rață lingurar and Rață cârâitoare. Smaller amounts of diving ducks can often be found. Wintering Mătăsar and Mugurar de taiga are often found. Although the numbers vary widely.

Access
The lake lies directly north to the center of Hudiksvall. There are many places to park the car. Click on the P in the map to get directions. You can make a circular walk around the lake (2,5 km).
