Description
Långroudden is one of the most distinctive parts of the Kronören – Drivörens nature reserve. The place is popular with birdwatchers during the spring and autumn migration because the protruded location provides a good view of the passing birds. Wind, waves, and ice have created both cobblestone fields and bare-washed rocks. When the ice is off the coast of Umeå, Långroudden is usually a good alternative because the ice rarely settles here. Among the birds you can see in the area are Cufundar polar, Rață catifelată, Rață neagră , Rață de ghețuri, Eider, Ferestraș mare, Ferestraș moțat, Scoicar and Codalb.
