Description
The Långfjället Nature Reserve is one of Sweden’s largest. The highest peak is Storvätteshogna, at 1204 m. It has areas of pure primeval forest without traces of forestry. On the moutain plateau it is lovely walking with plenty of birds on top and in dales. Lots of Ieruncă alpină, Fâsă de luncă, Ploier auriu and Pietrar sur. You also find Gaiță siberiană (in the coniferous forest) and Fluierar cu picioare verzi (around small bog areas in the forest). And along the streams and rivers the Pescărel negru is a common sight. In the lakes and streams you can find ducks like Rață mică, Rață sunătoare and Cufundar polar. You can also encounter moose, foxes, martens and brown bears.
