Description
The Fågelkullen observation site and viewpoint is on a hill on the western side of Abiskojåkka. You can walk via the Abiskojåkka canyon or the trail to the west. The path to the Fågelkullen viewpoint is a small detour north towards Torneträsk. There is a windbreak on site. The delta itself is a bird protection area with access prohibited from May 1st to July 31st. Normally seen and heard here Fluierar cu picioare roșii, Fluierar de mlaștină, Cufundar polar, Cufundar mic, Rață mică, Rață fluierătoare, and Chiră polară. During May/June and August arctic waders such as Fugaci mic, Fugaci pitic, Bătăuș, Notatiță and Culic mic rest in the area. Occasionally one can see Șorecar încălțat, Șoim de iarnă, Lup de mare codat, Rață cu cap negru, Rață neagră , Rață catifelată, Rață de ghețuri and Lăstun de mal.

Access
You can park at the Abisko tourist station. Click on the P in the map for directions. From there it is about a 1 kilometer walk to the platform along a gravel road and path. You can also make a nice hike along the Abiskojåkka canyon. Here you can see and hear Gușă vânătă, Codroș de pădure, Brumăriță de pădure and Pescărel negru. From August 1, when the trespassing ban ends, you can walk out on the delta.
