Description

The hamlet of Teno Alto lies high up in the Teno mountains in the northwest of Tenerife. It is a remote but beautiful area with many hiking trails. It has fields with grazing goats alongside patches of tree heath vegetation and hillside crops. This is a place to look out for farmland birds that you won't find on many other places in Tenerife. In particular Vrabie de stâncă, Presură sură and Cânepar. Sometimes even very rare birds like Prepeliță and Presură bărboasă are seen or heard.
