Juncalillo del Sur is an alluvial plain located on the coast of the southeast of Gran Canaria. It shelters 33% of the population of steppe birds that nest on the island, mainly Pasărea ogorului, Mugurar cu trompetă (Bucanetes githagineus amantum) and Ciocârlie mică. The site is also an important place of rest and feeding for about thirty species of migratory birds and waders like Fugaci de țărm, Nisipar, Fluierar cu picioare verzi, Sitar de mal nordic, Culic mic or Fugaci mare. Other birds you can see here are Prundăraș gulerat mic, Prundăraș gulerat mare, Prundăraș de sărătură, Silvie cu ochelari, Fâsă de Canare and Drepnea brună.

Espagnol: Es una salina, su zona húmeda varía bastante de volumen de agua. Tiene "hide". El sitio es una llanura aluvial situada en el litoral del sudeste de Gran Canaria (Canarias, España). Cubierta de vegetación xerófila, su principal valor natural es el faunístico, puesto que cobija al 33% de la población de aves esteparias que nidifican en la isla, fundamentalmente el alcaraván (Burhinus oedicnemus distinctus), el pájaro moro o camachuelo (Bucanetes githagineus amantum) y la terrera marismeña (Alaudala rufescens polatzeki). El Sitio de Interés Científico de Juncalillo del Sur proporciona un lugar de descanso y alimentación a unas treinta especies de aves migratorias y limícolas. También nidifican en él especies catalogadas, como el chorlitejo chico (Charadrius dubius).
