Description
Desembocadura Riera de Riudoms (Maspujols) or the mouth of the Riudoms stream forms a small sheet of water when it reaches the sea surrounded by some reeds. Rață mare and Găinușă de baltă breed here. However, it is during migration when other species such as Boicuș, Lăcar de stuf, or Cârstel de baltă can be seen. It is in winter when the place is most interesting to visit, especially to look for some Pescăruș sur among the Pescăruș cu cap negru and Pescăruș râzător or a Pescăruș cu cioc negru that has been wintering here for several years. Also, if you look out to sea, you can find Ferestraș moțat, Corcodel mare or the commoner Cormoran mare or Cormoran moțat.
If you visit the place from November to march after 4 pm you can wait until dusk when thousands of Pescăruș cu cap negru come to rest at sea after washing their plumage in fresh water. But you never know which place they will choose. It can be north of this point, also in Salou, or just south the Cambrils fishing port.

Access
You can go walking or by bike easily from Salou or Cambrils. There is also a bus stop near by. You can also park easily if you don't go in the summer. But in summer the place has little interest anyway.
