This Barranco has scattered shrubs and trees with some nearby agricultural land, the dry river bed can be walked and is a breeding area for Hoitar
This Barranco can be partially driven but is easily walked from the beach area and is a good area for Mărăcinar de Canare , Potârniche de stâncă africană , Pitulice de Canare , Silvie cu ochelari and Silvie mediteraneană. A known area for breeding Hoitar which are frequently spotted and the occasional Dropie gulerată sighting.
Reached from the main FV2 road head on the coastal track at Salinas del Carmen towards the small beach at Puerto de la Torre and taking the right hand fork at the beach which runs alongside the Barranco. This is a rough track and is best driven using a 4x4, we didn’t have one so we parked at the beach and followed the track on foot.
Check out the coastal track on the way as this is a hotspot for a pair of Barbary Falcon, also the beach area for waders. The derelict building on the beach has Vrabie negricioasă and 50m back form the beach in sandy area with bushes there's a very small (3m diameter) fresh water pool next to a solitary tree, this is great for catching drinking birds. We had Rândunică and Rândunică roșcată swooping to drink along with Swifts and Warblers.
