Description

Junam Reservoir (주남저수지) is a large lake where more than 200 species of birds have been observed. In winter, you can observe hundreds of White-naped Crane. Among them, you can try spotting smaller numbers of Hooded Crane, Common Crane, and Sandhill Crane. If you are lucky, you can observe rare birds of prey like the Golden Eagle and the Steller's Sea-Eagle. In summer, the area is a breeding ground for the Pheasant-tailed Jacana. The reservoir is located in the southern region of South Korea which means you can observe the Eurasian Hoopoe all year round.
