Swan Lake is a place of mass wintering of Lebădă de iarnă and other waterfowl. This is a unique phenomenon for Siberia.
You can observe waterfowl in the reserve from November to the end of March in the entourage of the Siberian winter, sometimes it is at a temperature of minus forty degrees and below. The main mass of birds is a Lebădă de iarnă and Rață mare. But you can also see Rață sunătoare, Ferestraș mare, in small numbers there are Lebădă de vară and Lebădă mică. Numerous Pescărel negru feed along the banks of ice-free streams. Here you can see Long-tailed Rosefinches, Pițigoi azuriu, Huhurez mare, Grey Bullfinch and other Siberian birds.
There is an air service from Moscow to Barnaul, then the best option is a taxi. You can rent a car (from Barnaul to the reserve is 220 km). There are hotels near the reserve.
