Description
Lake Żerdno is an interesting place for observations mainly in the period from late autumn to early spring. During this period, large flocks of water birds appear on the lake, especially ducks such as: Rață moțată, Ferestraș mare or Rață sunătoare. It is worth examining these groups carefully to spot species that are rarer in inland, e.g. Rață cu cap negru. The lake is very accessible and in good weather conditions the entire water surface is visible through a medium-quality telescope.

W tym okresie na Jeziorze pojawiają się spore stada grążyc i szeroko pojych innych ptaków wodnych takich jak: Rață moțată, Ferestraș mare czy Rață sunătoare. Stada te warto przejrzeć za rzadszymi na śródlądziu gatunkami np. Rață cu cap negru. Jezioro to jest bardzo przystępne dla obserwatora,a przy dobrych warunkach atmosferycznych jest widoczna przez średniej jakości lunetę cała tafla wodna.

Access
Lake Żerdno is located right next to the provincial road no. 163. There is a comfortable parking space on this road (click on the P in the map for directions) from where you can observe the entire lake. Next to it are the ruins of a medieval castle, and on the other side of the road is the huge Drawsko Lake.
