Mixed-biotope area, close to the San River in Sanok with a significant diversity of fauna and flora. It contains a fen nature trail.
Sosenki is a relatively small area in the Sanok town, being partially covered in pine trees (for which the Polish name derives from). The main areas of interest here, putting aside nearby San River banks, are: pine tree park, two fishing ponds, surrounded by mixed shrubbery and trees, and also a fen - with its own nature/educational trail. The fen is a part of the PLB180003 "Góry Słonne" Natura 2000 area. It's mainly known for species of water-dependant birds, but also some woodland species and many birds of prey, having their territories there and nearby. Some species of water-dependant birds that can be found here in nesting season are: Rață mare, Rață mică, Lebădă de vară, Corcodel mic, Cârstel de baltă, Găinușă de baltă, Lișiță, Nagâț, Prundăraș gulerat mic, Becațină comună, Fluierar de munte, Barză neagră, Stârc cenușiu, Egretă mare, Pescăraș albastru, Boicuș, Lăcar mic, Lăcar de stuf, Lăcar mare, Codobatură galbenă, Codobatură albă and Presură de stuf.
Many other water-dependant species can be met during migration or during winter, especially if the surface of ponds isn't covered with ice, like: Rață cârâitoare, Rață lingurar, Rață pestriță, Rață fluierătoare, Rață sulițar, Rață cu cap castaniu, Rață roșie, Rață moțată, Rață sunătoare, Ferestraș mic, Ferestraș mare, Corcodel mare, Cresteț pestriț, Bătăuș, Becațină mică, Fluierar de zăvoi, Fluierar negru, Fluierar cu picioare verzi, Fluierar de mlaștină, Fluierar cu picioare roșii, Pescăruș râzător, Pescăruș sur, Pescăruș pontic, Chiră de baltă, Cufundar polar, Cufundar mic, Cormoran mare, Stârc pitic, Stârc de noapte, Grelușel de stuf and Codobatură de munte. Some birds of prey that can be found here in nesting season: Viespar, Acvilă țipătoare mică, Acvilă de munte, Erete de stuf, Uliu păsărar, Uliu porumbar, Codalb, Șorecar comun, Huhurez mic, Ciuf de pădure, Vânturel roșu and Șoimul rândunelelor. Migrating/wintering species: Uligan pescar, Erete vânăt, Erete sur, Gaie neagră, Șorecar încălțat, Vânturel de seară and Șoim călător.
Forest/park and shrubbery is also home to many woodland species, such as: Porumbel gulerat, Cuc, Ciocănitoare pestriță mare, Ciocănitoare pestriță mică, Ghionoaie sură, Ghionoaie verde, Ciocănitoare neagră, Grangur, Gaiță, Corb, Pițigoi de brădet, Pițigoi sur, Pițigoi de munte, Pițigoi albastru, Pițigoi mare, Frunzăriță galbenă, Pitulice mică, Pitulice fluierătoare, Pițigoi codat, Silvie cu cap negru, Silvie mică, Aușel cu cap galben, Țiclean, Cojoaică de pădure, Cojoaică cu degete scurte, Ochiuboului, Graur, Sturz de vâsc, Sturz cântător, Mierlă, Muscar sur, Măcăleandru, Cinteză, Botgros, Florinte, Sticlete. Some, like Mugurar and Scatiu can be met here only during migration/winter. Other species, more related to fen and open habitats in general are: Prepeliță, Fazan, Cristel de câmp, Barză albă, Sfrâncioc roșiatic, Coțofană, Cioară grivă, Ciocârlie, Grelușel pătat, Silvie de câmp and Presură galbenă.
