Description
During the spring many waterbirds breed in the Ruda Fishponds Grebes such as Corcodel mic, Corcodel mare and Corcodel cu gât roșu. During migration many ducks can be seen, most interesting: Rață sulițar, Rață lingurar, Rață pestriță, Rață cârâitoare and Rață mică, and sometimes others. Pescăraș albastru can be seen every time on the river flowing through the complex. In the reeds you can hear and see Pițigoi de stuf, Lăcar mare, Boicuș, Lăcar de stuf and various other species of warblers. In the sky raptors such as Codalb, Șorecar comun, Uliu păsărar and Uliu porumbar. Various songbird species live in the nearby forest as well. During the migration plenty of shorebirds stop by. Fluierar cu picioare verzi, Fluierar de mlaștină, Becațină comună, Bătăuș, Fluierar de zăvoi and Fluierar de munte being the most common ones.

Access
One small parking spot behind the bridge on the river. Click on the P in the map for directions. Don't wander of the paths as it's a privately owned area. The area can only be visited on foot. The circular route indicated on the map is about 5 km.
