Description

Rozlewisko Bartniki is a valuable place for migratory birds. It is a depression of the area, constituting a basin located between the hills. There was once a Bartnickie lake here, which was drained and then turned into meadows and pastures. In order to improve the living conditions for birds the water level has been raised, a shallow pool was created and conditions for birds got better. In this relatively small area more than 100 bird species have been recorded, of which 41 are breeding species. You can find many waders such as Nagâț, Culic mare and Becațină comună. The area is also important for ducks, especially when migrating. Among the other birds you can observe in the area are Corcodel cu gât roșu, Corcodel cu gât negru, Chirighiță cu aripi albe, Stârc pitic, Buhai de baltă, Barză neagră and Codalb.
