Description

The Northern Polder east side (Polder Północny Cześć Wschodnia) is part of the National Park and is located on the northern bank of the Warta River. The area is flat, grassy, covered with forest (alder) on the outskirts, with some scarce trees and reeds in the background, partly agricultural. During periods of high water levels in the Warta River, the area may be partially flooded.

In addition to the huge number of birds found in the Ujście Warty National Park, you will certainly meet lazily grazing cows and horses, roe deers fleeing from you, and wild boar families. During the winter and early spring, you can come across herds of deer with up to 100 individuals.

Access

The best access to the Northern Polder is from the village of Krzemień Mały. The car can be left at the train station. But it is possible to further venture into the area by car and leave the car in the parking lot at the observation tower (access via a dirt road).

It is best to cycle around this area. The route marked on the map is about 25 km long. If cycling is not possible - look at the map on which I have marked possible parking places that you can go for less strenuous walks. The part of the route adjacent to the Warta River is not accessible by car.
