Sonderler Leijen is a lake with reeds and meadows that are partly under water in winter. Especially in autumn and winter a beautiful location with good light for observing many species and numbers of water birds. There are many species of geese in the area in the winter period. Among the birds you can see are Rață fluierătoare, Rață mică, Ferestraș mic, Presură de stuf, Becațină comună and Gâscă călugăriță.
