In Poelbroekpark and the Meerwijkplas you will find lakes, reed hedges, pools, flowery grasslands and lots of birds. One of the most special birds that occurs is the Buhai de baltă, but very hard to see. These birds will much easier to find: Corcodel mic, Gușă vânătă, Privighetoare roșcată, Cârstel de baltă, Cuc, Lăcar de mlaștină and Silvie de zăvoi. Other birds you can see here are Rață cârâitoare, Rață lingurar, Rață pestriță, Rață fluierătoare, Rață mare, Rață mică, Rață cu ciuf, Rață cu cap castaniu, Rață moțată, Ferestraș mare,Becațină comună, Pescăraș albastru, Lopătar and Presură de stuf.

Nederlands: Poelbroekpark en de aangrenzende Meerwijkplas is één van de rijkste natuurgebieden in de stadsrand van Haarlem. Je vindt er water en riethagen, poelen, bloemrijke graslanden en heel veel vogels. Een van de meest bijzondere vogels er voorkomt is de Buhai de baltă, ook al is die wel heel moeilijk te zien en moet je daarvoor ook een portie geluk hebben. Vogels die gemakkelijker te vinden zijn: Corcodel mic, Gușă vânătă, Privighetoare roșcată, Cârstel de baltă, Cuc, Lăcar de mlaștină en Silvie de zăvoi aan.
