Along the Brekkenpaad you can hear thousands of Rață fluierătoare whistling on the lake in the winter months. On the north side of the area the are wet meadows that are rich in nutrients and attract many birds. The entire path is very rich in birds in every season, highly recommended! Among the birds you can see along the way are Gârliță mare, Gâscă cu cioc scurt, Gâscă călugăriță, Călifar alb, Rață lingurar, Rață mică, Ferestraș mic, Scoicar, Nagâț, Sitar de mal nordic, Sitar de mal, Bătăuș, Becațină comună, Buhai de baltă, Lopătar, Lăcar mic,Codobatură galbenă, Fâsă de luncă, Sticlete and Presură de stuf.
