Description
Peat was once cut in the De Berk Nature Reserve, but now it's a haven for birds. You can take a short circular walk past copses, old peat pits, and fields. The area has plenty of water, making it attractive to waterfowl.

Access
De Berk Nature Reserve is located 4 km north of Etten-Leur and 9 km west of Breda. The area is accessible from Strijpenseweg, near the Zwartenbergse Molen (an old mill). Press P on the map for directions to the small parking lot on Strijpenseweg. From the parking lot, the best way to explore the area is on foot. There's a short circular walk of about 3.5 km.
