Kattenleger is an area where interesting birds are regularly observed. Despite the close proximity of the A15 motorway and the Betuwe railway line, the reed areas in particular offer a chance for nice species such as Buhai de baltă and Pițigoi de stuf. You will almost certainly encounter Presură de stuf, Sticlete, Lăcar de stuf and Găinușă de baltă but also a chance of Cârstel de baltă, Erete de stuf and Corcodel mic.

Nederlands: Kattenleger is een gebied met rietvelden, weiland en een boomsingel langs Betuwe-spoorlijn waar regelmatig interessante vogelsoorten worden waargenomen. Ondanks nabije aanwezigheid van snelweg A15 en de Betuwe-spoorlijn bieden met name de rietgebieden kans op leuke soorten als Buhai de baltă en Pițigoi de stuf. Vrijwel zeker kom je Presură de stuf, Sticlete, Lăcar de stuf en Găinușă de baltă tegen, maar ook kans op Cârstel de baltă, Erete de stuf en Corcodel mic.

The area is only accessible by bicycle or on foot. You can park on the edge: from Bemmel, drive into the Plakse Uitweg (dead end) and park at the end. Click on the P in the map for directions.
