The Hooge Nesse Polder is only separated from the floodplains and willows along the Oude Maas by a bicycle path, which means that the area actually exceeds 72 ha. You can stroll between reed land and forest. Nearly 100 bird species have been seen in the Hooge Nesse Polder. Songbirds that breed include Gușă vânătă, Lăcar de mlaștină, Lăcar mic, Lăcar de stuf, Grelușel de stuf, Grelușel pătat and Presură de stuf. The Pițigoi de stuf also lives in the reed beds. As well as the Erete de stuf. If you're lucky, the manager has mowed the reeds along the water treatment plant and you can walk along hundreds of meters of ditch. Here you have a chance to get Cârstel de baltă and Becațină comună. Nederlands: De Hooge Nesse Polder is een voormalige landbouwpolder en vuilnis/slibdepot van 72 hectare en nu natuurgebied en recreatiegebied gelegen tussen de Oude Maas en de Lindtsedijk. Het gebied wordt alleen gescheiden met de uiterwaarden en grienden langs de Oude Maas door een fietspad waardoor het gebied eigenlijk groter is dan 72 ha. Je kunt er heerlijk struinen tussen rietland en bos met onderbegroeing. Er zijn inmiddels bijna 100 vogelsoorten gezien in de Hooge Nesse Polder. Zangvogels die er broeden zijn onder meer Gușă vânătă, Lăcar de mlaștină, Lăcar mic, Lăcar de stuf, Grelușel de stuf, Grelușel pătat en Presură de stuf. Ze arriveren korter of langer na elkaar in de lente. Ook de Pițigoi de stuf komt in de rietvelden voor. Evenals de Erete de stuf. Heb je geluk dan heeft de beheerder het riet langs de waterzuivering gemaaid en kun je langs honderden meter sloot wandelen. Hier maak je kans op Cârstel de baltă en Becațină comună. In de struiken rond de zuivering foerageren vogels als Sticlete, Cinteză, Florinte, Pițigoi codat, Aușel cu cap galben, Sturzul viilor en Cocoșar. De Hooge Nesse Polder is in de eerste plaats een leuk natuurgebied voor inwoners van Zwijndrecht en omstreken. Omdat je voor bijzondere vogels een grote geluksfactor nodig hebt, zou ik er niet voor omrijden.

You reach the Hooge Neese Polder from Zwijdrecht via the Geerweg straight through the railway tunnel. After about a hundred meters you will see the Hooge Nesse Polder on the left, with parking facilities on the same side and the entrance gate to the nature reserve. From the other side: Nature and education center De Schone Nes, Veerweg 57 3336LM Zwijndrecht. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 3.5 km.

A Lăstun de mal wall has been constructed, but so far without results to my knowledge. A container has been placed in the middle of the area to be able to see a little more from a higher vantage point. After a long period of rain it can be quite soggy because many paths consist of mown grass.

Nederlands: Er is een oeverzwaluwwand geplaatst maar tot nu toe zonder resultaat naar mijn weten. Middenin het gebied is een container neer gezet om vanaf een hoger standpunt iets meer te kunnen zien. Na een lange periode van regen kan het best wel drassig zijn want veel paden bestaan uit gemaaid gras.
