Many species of waders rest and forage in the shallows of Hisse- en Pikemar: Nagâț, Sitar de mal, Fluierar cu picioare roșii, Bătăuș, Culic mare . On the water many kinds of ducks and in winter Gâscă cu cioc scurt, Gâscă călugăriță and many Gâscă de vară throughout the year. During the migration period there are resting Pescăriță mare. From the vantage point a good overview of the entire area with light from behind.

Nederlands: Hisse- en Pikemar zijn twee ondiepe meertjes met onderwater gezet weiland, riet en moeras tot aan de spoorlijn. In het ondiepe water rusten en foerageren vele soorten steltlopers: Nagâț, Sitar de mal, Fluierar cu picioare roșii, Bătăuș, Culic mare. Op het water vele soorten eenden: Rață fluierătoare, Rață pestriță, Rață mică en in de winter Gâscă cu cioc scurt, Gâscă călugărițăen gehele jaar veel Gâscă de vară. In de trektijd rusten er Pescăriță mare. Vanuit het kijkpunt heb je een goed overzicht over het gehele gebied met licht achter je.

Access
From the road Heeg-Oudega, drive into a dead end road to the Putpleats. There P and then continue on foot. From the parking lot it is about 600 meters to walk to the bird watching point. Or by bike along the cycle path to the viewpoint.

Nederlands: Vanaf de weg Heeg-Oudega een doodlopende weg inrijden naar de Putpleats. Daar P en dan verder te voet. Vanaf de parkeerplaats is het ongeveer 600 meter lopen naar het vogelkijkpunt. Of op de fiets langs het fietspad naar kijkheuvel.
