Description
The swampy nature reserve De Dullaert consists of ponds and pet holes and was reclaimed between 1936 and 1939. The reclaimed area has never become a good cultural land due to the enormous seepage in this area. The peat holes in the peat landscape are originally the result of peat cutting in the spring. The resulting holes filled with water. The Dullaart now consists of 6 pet holes and meadows and poplars. You always come across nice birds such as Gușă vânătă, Stufărică, Rață moțată, Rață mică, Cârstel de baltă and Rață pestriță.

Nederlands: Moerassig natuurgebied van 40 hectare met vijvers, petgaten, weilanden en populieren waar het leuk vogels kijken is. Het natuurgebied De Dullaert is ontgonnen tussen 1936 en 1939. Het ontgonnen gebied is nooit goed cultuurland geworden vanwege de enorme kwel in dit gebied. De petgaten in het veenlandschap zijn dus oorspronkelijk het gevolg van het steken van turf in het voorjaar. De ontstane gaten vulden zich met water. De Dullaert bestaat nu uit 6 petgaten en weilanden en populieren. Je komt steeds verassende vogels tegen zoals Gușă vânătă, Stufărică, Rață moțată, Rață mică, Cârstel de baltă en Rață pestriță.
