While walking through the woods and near the lakes of the Broekpolder, you can encounter waterfowl such as Rață mică, Rață sulițar and Lopătar, and other birds such as Cânepar, Frunzăriță galbenă, Șoimul rândunelelor and Grangur.

Nederlands: De Broekpolder is een grote polder (400 hectare) bij Vlaardingen, met een divers landschap, zeer in trek bij watervogels. Wandelend door de bossen en langs de meren van de Broekpolder kom je watervogels tegen zoals Rață mică, Rață sulițar en Lopătar, en andere vogels zoals Cânepar, Frunzăriță galbenă, Șoimul rândunelelor en Grangur.

Access
The Broekpolder is located directly on the edge of the town of Vlaardingen. The area is accessible by car, or you can take a bike ride through the polder. Press P on the map for directions to a parking lot. When it is busy, it is best to park in the large parking lot at the Polderpoort restaurant. You can explore the entire area on foot via an 8.5 km circular walk (see map below).

Nederlands: De Broekpolder ligt direct aan de rand van Vlaardingen. Het gebied is bereikbaar met de auto, of je kan een fietstocht maken door de polder. Druk op P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar een parkeerplaats. Bij drukte kun je het beste parkeren op de grote parkeerplaats bij restaurant de Polderpoort. Je kunt het hele gebied te voet verkennen via een rondwandeling van 8,5 km (zie onderstaande kaart).
