Bergumermeer - Soestpolder has vast reed banks with open water and is a good place for birdwatching. Expected bird species are Lăcar de stuf, Lăcar mic, Pițigoi de stuf, Cârstel de baltă but also Chirighiță neagră, Erete de stuf and meadow birds. Due to the wide overview there is also a chance of birds of prey such as Uligan pescar, Codalb, Șoim călător, Șoimul rândunelelor. Different species of ducks rest and forage on the lake.
