The Asserbos is located in city of Assen, which is the capital of the province of Drenthe. This old landscaped forest is a wonderful place for watching birds. There are many (short) hiking opportunities. There is a wide variety of bird species. Pescăraș albastru, different types of woodpeckers, Huhurez mic, Țiclean and other birds can be seen here.
