Description
The Stagni di Marceddì and Corru S'Ittiri form part of a Natura 2000 protected area. These lagoons are a mosaic of brackish and freshwater habitats, shaped by natural inlets, sandbars, and artificial dikes. The shallow lagoons attract waders, gulls, and ducks. Birds you can observe include Piciorong, Rață mică, Călifar alb, Ploier argintiu, Prundăraș gulerat mare, Culic mare, Fluierar de munte, Fluierar cu picioare roșii, Fluierar de mlaștină, Fluierar cu picioare verzi, Pietruș, Bătăuș, Fugaci mic, Fâsă de câmp, Mărăcinar negru, Egretă mică, and Pescăruș rozalb.
