Description

The path of the Rotte del Guà winds over an area of about 100 hectares, along the banks of the Agno stream, which in this area changes its name to Guà, hence the term "Rotte del Guà". In this section the banks no longer tighten the stream as in the upstream areas and the course becomes meandering, with escarpments and banks of pebbles, sands and gravel that enclose swampy areas and ponds. Within this area flow three streams - the Arpega stream, the Restena stream and the Scolo Ducale, which collects the waters of the Arpeghetta stream - which thus give rise to a vast marshy area, which is the only one at the bottom of the valley of the entire Agno Valley. Many interesting birds can be seen along the path.
