Description

The Biotopo Risorgive di Flambro is a protected natural area covering 73 hectares and comprising a system of typical wetland habitats (cladiets, peat bogs, wet meadows, brome meadows, and wooded areas). The flora and fauna are very rich. The site is of significant ornithological interest due to the presence of important species, including various herons, such as the Stârc roșu, the Stârc pitic (also a nesting species), the Stârc de noapte, the Buhai de baltă, the Egretă mare, and the Egretă mică. Birds of prey include the Erete vânăt and Erete sur (which nest in the area), the Erete de stuf, and others. Spring is ideal for observing migratory and nesting species.

Italiano: Il Biotopo Risorgive di Flambro è un'area naturale protetta che occupa una superficie di 73ha è formato da un sistema di habitat umidi tipici (cladieti, torbiere, prati umidi, brometi, aree boscate). La flora è ricchissima così come la fauna. Il sito è di rilevante interesse ornitologico per la presenza di specie importanti come diversi ardeidi e rapaci. Il periodo primaverile è l'ideale per l'osservazione di specie migratrici e nidificanti.

Access

Biotopo Risorgive di Flambro is located 25 km southwest of Udine, close to the village of Flambro. The area features a 2,5 km circular trail with walkways and observation points. Parking is available on the road near the Mulino Braida. Press P on the map for directions to the parking spot.

L'area è dotata di un percorso attrezzato ad anello (2,5 km) con passerelle e punti di osservazione. Si può parcheggiare sulla strada nei pressi del Mulino Braida.
