The KM 19 pool is famous for its Găinușă vărgată that come in to drink at dusk. The pool is also good for ducks, herons and waders. Among the birds that can be seen are Rață cârâitoare, Rață sulițar, Nagâț sudic, Pescăraș cu piept alb, Sfrâncioc cu mască, Flamingo roz, Rață roșie, Prigorie mică, Piciorong, Bătăuș, Fluierar cu picioare verzi, Lopătar, Pescăruș rozalb, Pescăriță mare, Erete de stuf, Stârc roșu, Stârc de noapte and Stârc pitic. Access
The ponds are located 19 km north of Eilat. Come off Route 90 from the south, drive due east. Passable for all kinds of vehicles. Some parts may be muddy at times.
