Description
More than 100 bird species have been seen in Levadi marsh . On one side this semi-flooded marsh area is bordered by the sea. A road to a quarry runs on one side along from the sea and on the other side the marsh is overlooked by a hillside. The small wetland attracts wading birds such as Egretă mică, Egretă mare, Stârc galben and Rață mică. Also Pescăraș albastru can be seen. The surrounding reeded pools, scrubland and fir trees also attract tits, finches, Erete de stuf and Silvie mediteraneană. It’s also common to see Prigorie and buzzards and eagles in this area.
