Description
Cape Sounion is the promontory at the southernmost tip of the Attic peninsula, 70 km southeast of Athens. Cape Sounion is noted for its Temple of Poseidon, one of the major monuments of Greece. The cape is a rocky crag with a nearby beach. Birds include Potârniche de stâncă, Dumbrăveancă, Pescăruș mediteranean, Pescăruș cu picioare galbene, Cory's Shearwater, Șerpar, flycatchers, warblers, wheatears, Cănăraș, Grangur and Șorecar mare.
