Description

The meadows, ponds, marshes and reed beds of the Thürer Wiesen are home to many different rare breeding birds. Turturică, Privighetoare roșcată, Potârniche, Barză albă, Mărăcinar negru, Cucuvea, Grelușel de stuf, Vrabie de câmp, Lăcar de stuf, Cuc and Gaie neagră all breed in the area.

Access

The Thürer Wiesen nature reserve is located southeast of the town of Thür. On the north side of the area is a small car park. Click on the P in the map for directions. It is possible to take a circular walk (about 5 km), although parts of it lead out of the actual area.
