Description
In Schellbruch reserve close to the city of Lübeck you find different types of habitats with a great variety of birds in a rather small area (although the complete reserve is not small at all. The reserve is managed by the NABU (German organisation for protecting nature) and a local organic farmer.
Good all year through but best in late spring. Fantastic place for Gușă vânătă, Grelușel de stuf, Pițigoi de stuf, Codalb and Woodpeckers. In autumn also great flocks of geese in some years. Prundăraș gulerat mic and Nagâț occur as well as Pescăraș albastru. Winter is good for Sfrâncioc mare, Ferestraș mic, Ferestraș mare and sometimes Buhai de baltă.
