Description

The Ockstädter Kirschenberg is one of the most important areas for the Codroș de pădure (be careful not to confuse it with the Codroș de munte). The Codroș de pădure is represented here with over 50 territories and is considered to be endangered in Hesse. Other birds you can see in this area are Capîntortură, Uliu păsărar, Cojoaică cu degete scurte, Turturică, Sfrâncioc roșiatic and Cucuvea.

Access

Parking lot for the Usa-Wellenbad (swimming pool) in Bad Nauheim or in the village of Ockstadt. Bus line FB32 to the bus stop "Friedberg (Hessen) - Ockstadt Am Kirschenberg". There are many roads and paths running through the area. On the map you see an example of a circular trail of 4 km.
