Area along the river Nidda with some rapids and surrounding green fields.
The Niddastrand is a nice place to stay with always some interesting birds that can be seen. A beaver family lives 300 m upstream from Niddastrand. The adjacent polo field is always worth checking out as there are many geese and herons there. The Niddastrand area is very good for taking pictures, especially in the morning. Among the birds you can see are Gâscă de vară, Gâscă canadiană, Gâscă egipteană, Corcodel mic, Lăcar de mlaștină, Codobatură de munte, Pescăraș albastru, Papagal Marele Alexandru, Uliu păsărar, Cocoșar, Stârc cenușiu and Cormoran mare.
Best reached by bike or on foot.
