Observation tower in the moorland and bay of lake Plauer See. With several islands. Reeds, birches, willows and dead wood characterize the shore.
The lookout from the Moorochse tower is ideal in the morning, as from midday onwards there is backlighting and therefore reflections in the water. Pescăraș albastru regularly hunt here and the large number of Cormoran mare make them a popular hunting target for Codalb. Other birds you can encounter are Cocor, Rață pestriță, Codobatură albă, Egretă mare, Rață mare, Cârstel de baltă, Găinușă de baltă, Lebădă de vară and Corcodel mic.
The Moorochse observation tower is situated on the banks of the lake Plauer See, 9 km north of the town of Plau am See. Park at the nature center Karower Meiler. Press P on the map for directions. From the parking it is 1.7 km on foot or by bike to the observation tower.
