Description
The Langwieser See is a small lake. The lake itself isn't very good for birding, but sometimes you can spot Pescăraș albastru there. In the reed area about 100 meters east of the lake, in winter you can see for example Presură de stuf and sometimes also Cârstel de baltă. In summer it's full of Lăcar de stuf. West to the lake, there are nice water reservoirs, which in winter often contain Becațină mică (best to spot with a thermal imaging camera), and sometimes Becațină comună.
South to the reservoirs, there is a smal bush land with Presură galbenă, Sticlete and in winter often Cinteză de iarnă. In the gardens and trees along the small stream you can find Scatiu in winter and Codroș de pădure and Silvie de câmp in summer. Sometimes you can also hear a Privighetoare roșcată here.
Very good are the fields around the whole area. During migration you can see Fâsă de luncă, Lăcar de mlaștină, Mărăcinar negru (sometimes also staying over winter), Uliu porumbar, Pietrar sur, Codobatură galbenă, Silvie mică and rarely Capîntortură, Nagâț and Erete vânăt. All year round you will find Cânepar, Ciocârlie, Stârc cenușiu and Vânturel roșu. Sometimes you can also see Potârniche, Uliu păsărar or Șoim călător.
