The vast artificial pond with several islands is located in the marsh land SW of Diekmannshausen, Southern Jadebusen area.
Open ponds with reed fringes, mudflats and some islands for breeding birds. Apart from a variety of waders and waterfowl the area is quite good for raptors, e.g. Șoim călător and Codalb.
Typical breeding birds: Fluierar cu picioare roșii, Ciocîntors, Chiră de baltă, Gușă vânătă, Lăcar mic, Cârstel de baltă.
Migration: Any kind of wader, terns, ducks
Winter: Ferestraș mic and many other duck species, many geese (particularly Gâscă călugăriță and Gârliță mare), divers, Ploier auriu.
Despite being created only recently the area already held a few national rarities: Cocor mic (2014), breeding Piciorong (2014), Fugaci cu picioare lungi (2019).
The site can be accessed easily via Ölstraße from Diekmannshausen (2 km), either by car or by bicycle. No public transport available.
In principle it is possible to surround the area by foot, but this will inevitably disturb the birds and should be avoided.
