Kiesteiche Nordstemmen Nord is a complex of gravel pits west of Rössing. Breedings birds include Stufărică and Lăcar mare. More important from October to February for wintering waterbirds. Gulls and Gâscă de vară roost in July and August. Birds you can observe in the area include Gârliță mare, Gâscă de semănătură, Rață pestriță, Rață mare, Rață mică, Rață moțată, Ferestraș mare, Ferestraș moțat, Corcodel mic, Corcodel mare, Lișiță, Presură de stuf, Pescăruș râzător, Pescăruș sur, Pescăruș cu picioare galbene, Pescăruș argintiu, and Pescăruș pontic.

The Kiesteiche Nordstemmen Nord are located west of the town of Rössing and north of the town of Nordstemmen. You can park along the road near the sports field. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. From there you can explore the area on foot or by bike.
