A small dammed lake that is filled by the Wahnbach and regularly attracts various species of birds.
The Herrenteich attracts various waders (Prundăraș gulerat mic, Fluierar cu picioare verzi, Fluierar negru, Fluierar de mlaștină, Fluierar de zăvoi, Becațină comună), especially during migration times. These birds are less common regionally. You can often see the Pescăraș albastru, Codobatură de munte, Gaie neagră, Gaie roșie and various ducks and geese. From time to time Barză neagră, Uliu păsărar, Uliu porumbar are flying over. Now and then, Uligan pescar, Erete de stuf, and Șoimul rândunelelor can also be seen.
The area can be seen from two sides and the footbridges can be walked on. One side of the lake is overgrown with trees. Another is covered with reeds.
The area is best explored on foot and free parking is available directly in front of the lake at the inn. The footbridges are freely accessible and you can enjoy a drink while watching.
