Description

A visit to Helenesee is particularly worthwhile in winter, when you have a good chance of observing resting or wintering water birds such as Lebădă de iarnă, Lebădă mică, Ferestraș mic, Ferestraș mare, Cufundar polar, Cufundar mic, gulls, grebes and sea ducks.

Access

There is a huge parking area from where you can enter the Freizeit und Campingpark Helene-See. The shores of the lake have been closed to bathers since spring 2021 due to a landslide until further notice (as of December 2022). However, the peripheral areas are accessible for observers.
