The Engerser Feld is of international importance as a bird sanctuary and resting place for bird migration. It has a great biodiversity and many birds can be seen like Ferestraș mic, Corcodel cu gât roșu, Fluierar de munte, Prundăraș gulerat mic, Fluierar de zăvoi, Scoicar, Lăstun de mal and Pescăraș albastru.
