Description
The typical species of a city can be seen at the Decksteiner Weiher in summer. On the lake Gâscă canadiană, Gâscă egipteană, Corcodel mare and Rață mare can be seen. Around the lake you can observe Ghionoaie verde, Sticlete, Ciocănitoare de stejar and much more. In winter, however, more rare duck species such as Rață moțată, Rață cu cap castaniu, Rață pestriță and with a bit of luck also Rață roșie can be found.

Decksteiner Weiher is easy to reach by bike from Cologne (Köln). You can also get there easily by car. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking. A circular walk around the lake is about 5 km.
