During the bird migration season at Ausgleichsfläche Dellmensingen you can observe waders such as Fluierar de zăvoi, Bătăuș, Fluierar de mlaștină, Prundăraș gulerat mare and Nagâț. In summer Prundăraș gulerat mic breeds regularly in the area. Visiting from the adjacent river Danube and the Danube Canal are birds such as Pescăruș râzător , Călifar roșu and Lișiță. The best observation opportunities are from the dam. The area is flooded regularly (March & July)
