Description
At the river Ahr are breeding Prundăraș gulerat mic and Pescăraș albastru. In the floodplains are meadows, forests and a little reedbed. In the meadows are breeding Cucuvea (10 territories in 2020). Sfrâncioc roșiatic and Grelușel pătat are possible breeding birds. In the forests are breeding Privighetoare roșcată , Grangur and Ciocănitoare de stejar. You can also see Gaie neagră and Șoimul rândunelelor during breeding time. In the little reedbed are Lăcar de stuf and Lăcar de mlaștină (also common next to the Ahr). Frunzăriță melodioasă and Frunzăriță galbenă can also be found in the area.
During migration, you can see migratory birds like Uligan pescar and Fluierar de zăvoi. In winter you can see some wintering birds like Pescărel negru.

Access
There is a train station in Linz (direct connections to Cologne and Koblenz), from where you have to cross the Rhine with the ferry to Kripp. Another train station is in Sinzig (direct connections to Bonn and Koblenz) from where you can go directly to the meadows at the southern edge of the area.
You can park in Kripp (follow the B9 until Kripp). The walking route you see on the map is about 7 km.
