Description
The Kotu Cycle Path is well known for it's ease of walking and the impressive number of species that can be seen. The habitat along its route varies from rice fields to scrubland, mature trees and after the wet season, a few small ponds and a stream. Broad-billed Roller, Yellow-billed Shrike, Cattle Egret, Blue-bellied Roller, Blue-breasted Kingfisher and numerous other species can be seen.

Access
Kotu Cycle Path is best explored on foot although a bicycle would be possible. Access from either end of the track (Kotu bridge or African Princess Hotel). Parking is possible at either end but it is unlikely that many visitors would be driving. Ideally dedicate a few hours to get the most out of the area but even 1 hour would prove fruitful.
