The site consists of two ponds specially designed for observing the avifauna of Guadeloupe.
Ravine Sable offers a view of the port of Anse Bertrand and allows you to observe Brown Pelican and Royal Tern fishing. From an ornithological observatory you can observe the main bird species and the hide is oriented opposite a Cattle Egret and Brown Pelican roost. Several species of herons can be observed as well as species of birds from wooded environments.

Français: La ravine sable est un site composés de deux étangs amménagés spécialement pour l'observation de l'avifaune de Guadeloupe. Le site offre un point de vue sur le port d'Anse Bertrand et permet d'observer les Brown Pelican et Royal Tern pêcher. Un observatoir ornithologique présente les principales espèces d'oiseaux observables et est orienté face à un reposoir d'Cattle Egret et Brown Pelican. Plusieurs espèces d'ardéidés sont observables ainsi que les espèces d'oiseaux des milieux boisés.
The site is accessible by car from the fishing port of Anse Bertrand. There is space to park and the observatory is located at the start of the site. It is therefore accessible to people with reduced mobility. The rest of the 1 km trail can be explored on foot.
